Please read the following details carefully before purchasing!

This is a brand new Fujitsu hard drive, opened only to install the licensed Amiga Workbench 3.1 from Cloanto. This license includes a unique serial number and can be registered on the official Cloanto website.

The drive is fully configured and "plug and play." No additional setup is required to get started.

Partition Layout:
System: ~0.5 GB (FFS File System)
Work: ~3.5 GB (FFS File System)
Games: ~32 GB (PFS File System)
All three partitions have the correct MaxTransfer set to 0x1fe00.
Note: The "Work" and "Games" partitions are empty. You are purchasing a hard drive with a clean Workbench 3.1 installation only! You must provide your own games, applications, demos, etc.

The system is compatible with the following Kickstart ROMs:
- Kickstart 3.1
- Kickstart 3.X
- Kickstart 3.1.4
- Kickstart 3.2.3
- Kickstart 3.9
Note: Will not work with Kickstart 3.0!

A patched scsi.device is pre-installed to allow Kickstart 3.1 users to see the full partition sizes within Workbench (one quick reboot is required to load it). For 3.1.4 or 3.2.3 users: This patch is not needed. You can disable it in the startup-sequence by adding a semicolon ; to the beginning of the line as shown below:

;LoadModule >NIL: DEVS:scsi.device

Due to the large drive capacity and scsi.device patch, the system requires approximately 1MB of RAM just to mount the partitions. We strongly recommend any Fast RAM expansion for stable operation. A standard A600 with only 1MB of Chip RAM is insufficient to run this drive. On an unexpanded A1200, you will likely be left with only 1MB or less of memory after the drive loads. If your Amiga does not have an extra memory expansion, please do not purchase this drive!

You must use a strong/modern PSU. Mechanical hard drives consume significantly more power than CF or SD cards. Original Amiga power supplies are often not strong enough to handle the increased load safely.

Please use the original metal hard drive bracket from your Amiga to secure the drive inside the desktop case. This product is designed for internal use within a closed chassis. If you do not have the original metal bracket, do not place the hard drive directly onto the motherboard without protection. Direct physical contact between the drive and the soldered components on the motherboard can cause a short circuit, potentially destroying both the hard drive and your Amiga. Always use a bracket or appropriate non-conductive mounting solution. We cannot be held responsible for any damage resulting from improper installation or negligence.

Please connect the hard drive exactly as shown in the provided photos. Ensure that the cable covers all pins on the motherboard connector. Be extremely careful not to misalign the connector by a row or column. Connecting the cable incorrectly may result in permanent damage (burning) to both the hard drive and your Amiga motherboard. We take no responsibility for hardware damage caused by improper installation.

This drive has been extensively tested on real Amiga 600 and Amiga 1200 hardware using Kickstarts 3.1, 3.X, 3.1.4, 3.2.3 and 3.9. However, it should work with any Amiga model featuring a 44-pin IDE connector and extra FAST RAM expansion.

The hard drive is configured to boot as Master (no jumpers are required and they are not included).

On Kickstart 3.1, mostly when using fast accelerator turbo cards, you may see the "purple floppy" animation faster than the hard drive can initialize. In this case, a soft reset (Ctrl + Amiga + Amiga) is required to boot the system. You can resolve this issue permanently by upgrading to Kickstart 3.X or Kickstart 3.2.3, which allows the system to boot directly on all configurations.

Every drive is prepared and fully tested on a real Amiga. We do not use emulators at all!
