This compact board facilitates capturing the serial output from the DiagROM and directing it to any serial client application on operating systems like Windows, Linux, etc. It incorporates both a USB serial controller and an RS232 converter to ensure compatibility with all serial ports found on Amiga computers. This makes it particularly beneficial for those undertaking board repair tasks.
No specific drivers are required on Windows; simply connect it to your Amiga, plug the standard Type C to USB cable (not included) into your computer, and use terminal software such as Putty to capture the output.
On Windows, you can identify the assigned port number by navigating to System – Device Manager, expanding "Ports (COM & LPT)", and noting the COM port number. Subsequently, configure Putty for a serial connection using the identified COM port number and a speed of 9600 baud, then click "Open". You will then start observing the diagrom's output.
